In 1994, finished a residence in General Surgery at the Doctor Arnulfo Arias Madrid Metropolitan Complex Hospital of the Caja del Seguro Social in Panama. Later that year, attended training in Trauma Surgery at the Valle University Hospital in Cali, Colombia, and a Trauma Surgery Training at the Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1995, attended a Trauma Surgery Training at the Detroit Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. In 2002 attended a course in Laparoscopic Surgery for Hernia and Anti Reflux Laparoscopic Surgery course, both in Mexico. In 2004, attended the World course of Laparoscopic Surgery, the international course of Bariatric Laparoscopic Surgery and the international course in Colon Laparoscopic Surgery. In the same year, attended the Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery course at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.
